TS45 Take 4

This is my fourth attempt with rebuilding one of those guns, and the third stock I’ve setup.  I’ll spare the process I went through this time as it is documented on the others.

Now, one of my biggest complaints about this gun is how short it is. But I was thinking about how a gun that’s long enough to suit my tastes is hard to finagle in close quarters, so I thought I would leave this one short.  This gun has no added length to the stock.

The biggest thing I did was trim the grip.  It’s still a little square, but it’s comfortable.  I Narrowed this one more than the others and I don’t suggest anyone going narrower than this.  I took a maximum deptth of 5/16” off both sides on this one, and ran the cut further forward. You can see how I actually cut enough off to have cut through the upper lip.

Not shown, but should be noted.  On this gun I added epoxy to the stock as filler. The stock is cut square with the whole thing held upright only by the bolts and trigger.  It just sits in a groove. The epoxy now forms a nice channel for the gun to sit in that is perfectly formed to its shape. This has also smoothed the gun out quite a bit.
